The account

One date, no second chance.

Events and hospitality, Gabriola Island, BC.

A festival has a single deadline. Either people are on the dock on the night or the promotion did not work, and there is no next month to fix it in.

Silva Bay handled bookings, vendors and everything physical. We took the marketing: who the event was for, what the message was, and a promotional calendar working back from the date with spend weighted into the final two weeks.

Around a thousand people came, with roughly ten vendors on site. The reporting afterwards gives next year a real baseline instead of a feeling about how it went.

What we run

The work behind the numbers.

01

Event strategy

Audience, positioning and a promotional calendar built backwards from the festival date.

02

Paid and organic promotion

Local reach across the platforms that matter on the island and the surrounding coast.

03

Creative

Video and static built for the feed, scripted around the reason to make the trip.

04

Post event reporting

Attendance, reach and cost per attendee, written up as the baseline for next year.

03

Results

Around a thousand attendees, ten vendors on site.

Rush ran the marketing strategy end to end. The client ran the event.
